Microsoft Lesotho is seeking a passionate Digital Accessibility Consultant to lead the design and implementation of accessible digital solutions in Semonkong. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct accessibility audits for software, websites, and mobile applications.
- Collaborate with developers to integrate accessibility features into digital products.
- Train teams on WCAG 2.1 standards and best practices for inclusive design.
- Partner with NGOs and government agencies to identify accessibility gaps in public services.
- Develop guidelines for accessible user interfaces and assistive technology compatibility.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in accessibility evaluation tools (e.g., WAVE, AXE).
- Experience with screen readers and other assistive technologies.
- Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for accessibility implementation.
- Knowledge of Lesotho’s disability inclusion policies and international accessibility frameworks.
- Excellent communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Digital Design, or a related field. Advanced certifications in accessibility (e.g., ARIA, Section 508) are a plus.
Experience
3–5 years of experience in digital accessibility consulting, preferably in emerging markets. Prior work with NGOs or government technology projects is advantageous.
Salary
2000–3000 SSP per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
