Job Overview

This role is pivotal in designing and implementing digital financial solutions tailored to Lesotho’s rural and low-income populations. The specialist will collaborate with fintech partners, government agencies, and NGOs to expand access to banking services via mobile and digital platforms. The position emphasizes leveraging technology to foster economic empowerment and financial literacy.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute digital financial inclusion strategies aligned with national financial inclusion goals.
• Partner with fintech startups and mobile network operators to integrate banking services into digital ecosystems.
• Design training programs for community agents and bank staff on digital financial tools.
• Analyze market trends to identify opportunities for expanding financial services in underserved regions.
• Monitor and report on the impact of financial inclusion initiatives using KPIs and stakeholder feedback.

Required Skills

• Expertise in financial technology platforms and mobile banking solutions.
• Proven experience in designing inclusive financial products for low-income demographics.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data-driven decision-making.
• Excellent stakeholder management and cross-sector collaboration abilities.
• Fluency in both English and Sesotho for community engagement.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• Advanced certification in Financial Inclusion or Fintech (e.g., Microfinance, Digital Payments) is advantageous.

Experience

• Minimum of 3–5 years in financial technology, inclusive finance, or digital banking.
• Experience working in rural or emerging markets preferred.

Salary

An annual salary ranging from 25,000 to 35,000 Lesotho Pula, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
