Job Overview

Join our R&D team as a Green Concrete Innovator to develop next-generation low-carbon concrete solutions for infrastructure projects across Lesotho. This role will focus on formulating eco-friendly cement alternatives using locally sourced materials while maintaining industry-standard durability. The position offers opportunities to collaborate with international sustainability experts and contribute to the company’s global carbon neutrality goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research and develop sustainable concrete mixtures using recycled materials and carbon capture technologies
  • Conduct laboratory experiments to test material performance under various environmental conditions
  • Collaborate with civil engineers to implement green construction solutions in real-world projects
  • Document findings and publish technical reports for internal and external stakeholders
  • Monitor industry trends in sustainable construction materials and technologies

Required Skills

  • Expertise in materials science and sustainable construction practices
  • Proficiency in concrete formulation and testing procedures
  • li>Knowledge of life cycle assessment (LCA) tools for construction materials

  • Strong analytical skills for material performance evaluation

Education

Candidates must hold a Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field from an accredited university. Additional certifications in sustainable construction practices (e.g., LEED AP) are highly desirable.

Experience

3-5 years of experience in construction materials research, with a focus on sustainable solutions. Previous work with green building certification systems or carbon footprint analysis is preferred.

Salary

35,000 – 45,000 SSP per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
