Job Overview

The Biomedical Equipment Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, calibration, and repair of a wide range of medical devices used in hospitals, clinics, and diagnostic centers across Lesotho. Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and validate new medical equipment according to manufacturer specifications and local regulations.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance, calibration, and safety checks on imaging systems, patient monitors, infusion pumps, and laboratory analyzers.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, replace faulty components, and document all service activities.
• Collaborate with clinicians to understand equipment usage patterns and provide technical guidance on optimal operation.
• Maintain accurate service logs, inventory records, and compliance documentation for regulatory audits.
• Participate in emergency response teams to address critical equipment failures promptly.
