We are currently seeking a highly skilled and meticulous Senior Compliance Officer to join our legal services division in Maseru. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain robust compliance frameworks to ensure all business activities align with Lesotho’s regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular internal audits and risk assessments to identify potential areas of non-compliance.
- Provide expert guidance to senior management and legal teams regarding complex regulatory changes and their impact on operations.
- Monitor and report on compliance metrics to the Board of Directors and relevant regulatory bodies.
- Lead investigations into potential breaches of policy or regulation and recommend corrective actions.
- Collaborate with international legal teams to ensure cross-border compliance consistency.

Education
A Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from a recognized university is mandatory. A Master of Laws (LLM) or professional certification in Compliance (such as CAMS or ICA) is highly preferred and will be considered an advantage during the selection process.
Experience
Candidates must possess a minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in a legal or compliance role, preferably within a large-scale international law firm or a major financial institution. Proven experience in managing regulatory audits and implementing compliance software is essential for success in this role.
Salary
The annual salary for this position ranges from 450,000 SSP to 680,000 SSP, depending on the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and performance during the interview process. This package is competitive within the local market for high-level legal professionals.
