Job Overview

The AI Solutions Architect will lead the design, development, and deployment of advanced AI and machine learning solutions for both internal Microsoft products and external client projects across Lesotho and the broader Southern African region. Key Responsibilities

• Architect end‑to‑end AI solutions that meet client business objectives and align with Microsoft’s AI ethics guidelines.
• Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and product managers to develop scalable machine learning pipelines.
• Evaluate and integrate Azure AI services, including Cognitive Services, Azure Machine Learning, and Bot Framework.
• Lead technical workshops and knowledge‑sharing sessions for internal teams and external partners.
• Provide technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle, from proof‑of‑concept to production deployment.
• Ensure solutions are optimized for performance, security, and cost‑effectiveness on Azure.
• Stay current with emerging AI research, tools, and best practices, and apply them to real‑world problems.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to building a strong AI talent pipeline in Lesotho.

Required Skills

• Deep expertise in machine learning algorithms, deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch), and AI model deployment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Azure AI services and cloud architecture.
• Strong programming skills in Python, C#, or Java.
• Experience with data engineering tools such as Azure Data Factory, Spark, or Databricks.
• Excellent problem‑solving abilities and a strategic mindset.
• Effective communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
• Commitment to ethical AI practices and data privacy.

Education

A Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a closely related discipline is required. Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Engineer Associate are highly desirable.

Experience

Minimum of five years of hands‑on experience designing and implementing AI solutions in enterprise environments. Prior experience leading cross‑functional teams and delivering AI projects on Azure is essential.

Salary
