The company delivers pre-hospital emergency medical services, pharmaceuticals, healthcare management, and occupational safety solutions, and is currently recruiting a skilled Financial Accountant to strengthen its finance division.

Job Purpose:

The Financial Accountant will support the organisation’s financial stability by ensuring accurate accounting records, financial reporting, compliance with statutory requirements, budgeting assistance, and management reporting. The role also focuses on maintaining internal accounting controls, financial analysis, and helping leadership make informed business decisions.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

The selected candidate will prepare financial statements from general ledgers, compile management reports, analyse financial data, and assist in long-term forecasting. Responsibilities include recording daily financial transactions, reconciling capital, liability, and asset accounts, preparing profit and loss statements, balance sheets, VAT and CIS returns, and auditing accounting records for verification.

The Financial Accountant will also contribute to finance business planning, budget preparation, policy recommendations, capital expenditure assessments, and return on investment calculations. In addition, the role requires supervising accounting clerical staff, maintaining confidentiality, ensuring database backups, and advising management on financial compliance and legal obligations.

Qualification and Experience Required:

Applicants must possess an ACA or ACCA qualification and be a registered member of the Lesotho Institute of Accountants. A minimum of 2 years’ practical experience in financial accounting is required. Candidates with audit exposure, strong cost accounting knowledge, proficiency in accounting software, excellent Microsoft Office skills, and strong communication ability will have an added advantage.
