Job Overview
This role involves developing and implementing digital twin models to simulate and optimize infrastructure projects in Lesotho. The ideal candidate will leverage Bentley’s software suite to create virtual replicas of physical assets, enabling predictive analysis and performance optimization. This position is critical for advancing Lesotho’s infrastructure resilience and sustainability goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and maintain digital twin models for infrastructure projects (transportation, utilities, urban planning).
- Collaborate with engineers and urban planners to integrate real-time data into simulations.
- Conduct scenario analysis to predict infrastructure performance under varying conditions.
- Develop visualization tools to communicate complex data to stakeholders.
- Optimize models for scalability, accuracy, and computational efficiency.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Bentley MicroStation, AECOsim, or similar digital twin software.
- Experience with BIM (Building Information Modeling) and GIS (Geographic Information Systems).
- Strong analytical skills for data interpretation and model validation.
- Knowledge of Lesotho’s infrastructure standards and regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- Advanced certifications in digital twin technology or infrastructure modeling (preferred).
Experience
- 3-5 years of experience in infrastructure modeling or digital twin development.
- Proven track record in large-scale infrastructure projects (transportation, utilities, or urban planning).
Salary
12,000 – 18,000 SSP/month, commensurate with experience and project impact.
