Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage complex audit engagements from planning to completion.
- Review financial statements and supporting documentation to ensure compliance with IFRS and local regulations.
- Identify and communicate significant risks and internal control weaknesses to management.
- Supervise, mentor, and review the work of junior audit associates.
- Maintain strong professional relationships with client management and stakeholders.
- Ensure all audit procedures are performed in accordance with professional standards and firm methodologies.
Required Skills
- Advanced proficiency in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

Education
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certification such as CA(SA), ACCA, or CPA is highly preferred and often required for this level of seniority. A deep understanding of auditing standards and local tax laws is essential for success in this role.
Experience
A minimum of 5 to 7 years of progressive experience in external audit within a reputable professional services firm is required. Proven experience in managing audit teams and handling complex client portfolios is essential. We are looking for individuals who have demonstrated a tracks record of delivering high-quality audit reports under tight deadlines.
Salary
The annual gross salary for this position ranges from 450,000 SSP to 680,000 SSP, depending on experience, qualifications, and performance during the interview process. This package is competitive within the Lesotho market.
