Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and meticulous Senior Laboratory Technician to join our specialized diagnostic facility in Qacha’s Nek. This role is critical to our mission of providing high-quality diagnostic services to the local community. Key Responsibilities
- Perform complex biochemical, hematological, and microbiological tests with extreme precision.
- Oversee the calibration and maintenance of advanced diagnostic laboratory equipment.
- Ensure all laboratory activities comply with international quality standards and local health regulations.
- Supervise and provide technical guidance to junior technicians and laboratory assistants.
- Manage inventory levels of reagents and laboratory consumables to prevent service interruptions.
- Validate and interpret test results before they are released to medical practitioners.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of all laboratory procedures and quality control checks.

- Advanced proficiency in clinical laboratory automation and diagnostic software.

Education
A minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Biomedical Science, or a closely related field is mandatory. Professional certification or registration with the relevant medical laboratory council is highly preferred.
Experience
Candidates must possess a minimum of five years of hands-on experience in a clinical laboratory setting, preferably within a large-scale diagnostic facility. Proven experience in quality management systems (ISO 15189) is a significant advantage for this role.
Salary
The annual salary for this position ranges from 450,000 SSP to 620,000 SSP, depending on experience and technical expertise. This package is designed to attract top-tier talent to our Qacha’s Nek facility.
