Job Overview
This role requires a creative professional to develop and implement digital storytelling projects that showcase Lesotho’s intangible cultural heritage. The ideal candidate will combine media production skills with cultural sensitivity to create engaging content for global audiences while supporting local community narratives. Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute multimedia campaigns highlighting Basotho traditions, folklore, and historical narratives
- Collaborate with local elders and cultural practitioners to document oral histories using audio-visual tools
- Develop interactive digital exhibits for the National Virtual Museum of Lesotho
- Produce social media content that engages both local and international audiences
- Coordinate with IT teams to maintain cultural heritage digital archives
Required Skills
- Proficiency in video editing, podcast production, and graphic design software
- Strong understanding of Basotho cultural protocols and heritage practices
- Experience with digital archiving systems and metadata standards
- Fluency in Sesotho and English
- Project management skills for cross-departmental collaborations
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Media Studies, or Cultural Heritage Management
- Additional certification in Digital Storytelling or Cultural Preservation preferred
