Job Overview
The Cybersecurity Incident Response Specialist will be a vital member of our Global Security Operations Center (GSOC). This role is focused on identifying, neutralizing, and investigating sophisticated cyber threats that target our cloud infrastructure and enterprise clients. You will be at the forefront of defense, managing real-time responses to security breaches, malware outbreaks, and unauthorized access attempts. This is a high-stakes role that requires deep technical expertise and the ability to remain calm under pressure during critical security events.

The successful candidate will play a key role in developing advanced detection mechanisms and refining our response playbooks to ensure minimal disruption to business operations. This is a premier job vacancy in Lesotho for a highly skilled security professional.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the identification, containment, and eradication of cyber threats across cloud and on-premise environments.
- Conduct deep-dive forensic investigations to determine the root cause of security incidents.
- Develop and implement automated response playbooks to accelerate incident mitigation.
- Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure all incident handling meets international regulatory standards.
- Perform continuous threat hunting to proactively identify vulnerabilities before they are exploited.
- Provide detailed post-incident reports and actionable insights to senior management and stakeholders.
Required Skills
- Advanced proficiency in network security protocols, firewalls, and Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS).
- Expertise in digital forensics tools and incident management platforms.
- Strong understanding of cloud security architectures (OCI, AWS, or Azure).
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities under high-pressure scenarios.
- Excellent communication skills for translating technical findings into business impact assessments.
Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field is mandatory. Professional certifications such as CISSP, GCIH, or CEH are highly preferred and will be considered an advantage during the selection process.
Experience
Candidates must possess a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations, specifically focusing on incident response, threat hunting, or digital forensics. Proven experience working within a large-scale enterprise or a Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) environment is essential.
Salary
The annual salary for this position ranges from 450,000 SSP to 720,000 SSP, depending on the candidate’s expertise and technical certifications.
