Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Hydrometallurgical Process Engineer to join our specialized technical team in Qacha’s Nek. This role is critical to our mission of maximizing mineral recovery while minimizing environmental footprints. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing hydrometallurgical processes, including leaching, solvent extraction, and electrowinning. Key Responsibilities
- Design and optimize chemical leaching and recovery processes to maximize mineral yield.
- Monitor real-time process data to identify inefficiencies and implement corrective actions.
- Conduct pilot-scale testing for new ore bodies to determine optimal chemical reagents.
- Collaborate with environmental teams to manage tailings and chemical waste disposal safely.
- Oversee the maintenance and calibration of specialized chemical processing equipment.
- Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all hydrometallurgical plant operations.

Experience
Candidates must possess between 5 and 7 years of direct experience in hydrometallurgical plant operations, preferably within a large-scale mining environment. Proven track record in optimizing solvent extraction-electrowinning (SX-EW) circuits is essential. Experience in remote site operations is a significant advantage for this employment in Lesotho.
Salary
The annual remuneration package for this position ranges from 450,000 SSP to 680,000 SSP, depending on experience and technical expertise.
