Job Overview

The Machine Learning Platform Engineer will design, develop, and maintain scalable machine learning pipelines and services on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Working closely with data scientists, product managers, and infrastructure teams, you will ensure that models are efficiently trained, validated, and deployed at scale to serve a variety of applications, including natural language processing, computer vision, and predictive analytics. Key Responsibilities

• Architect and implement end‑to‑end machine learning workflows on GCP, including data ingestion, feature engineering, model training, and serving.
• Collaborate with data science teams to translate research prototypes into production‑ready services.
• Optimize model performance, latency, and cost using advanced cloud native tools such as Vertex AI, Kubeflow, and Cloud Run.
• Develop monitoring, logging, and alerting mechanisms to ensure reliability and compliance with data governance standards.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and cross‑functional partners.
• Stay current with emerging AI technologies and contribute to internal knowledge‑sharing forums.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar ML frameworks.
• Strong experience with GCP services: BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Vertex AI, Kubernetes Engine.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and infrastructure as code (Terraform, Deployment Manager).
• Ability to design scalable, fault‑tolerant systems and troubleshoot complex production issues.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a multicultural, collaborative environment.

Education

A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Data Science, or a related discipline is required. Candidates with a Master’s or PhD in Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or a comparable field are highly preferred, reflecting Google’s emphasis on advanced research capabilities.
