Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer to join our growing cloud infrastructure team in Maseru. This role is critical to ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our cloud-based services. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing automated deployment pipelines, monitoring systems, and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) solutions. You will work closely with software development teams to streamline the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and foster a culture of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD). Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement robust CI/CD pipelines to automate software delivery and deployment processes.

  • Monitor system performance and implement automated scaling and self-healing mechanisms.
  • Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot complex production issues and optimize application performance.
  • Implement and maintain rigorous security protocols and compliance standards across all cloud environments.
  • Automate repetitive operational tasks to increase efficiency and reduce manual intervention.

Required Skills

  • Expertise in cloud computing platforms, specifically AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, etc.).
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Go.
  • Strong understanding of containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
  • Deep knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline.
  • Experience with monitoring and logging frameworks like Prometheus, Grafana, or CloudWatch.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a collaborative, agile environment.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field is required. Advanced certifications in AWS (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional) are highly preferred.

Experience

A minimum of 5 to 7 years of professional experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Cloud Engineering roles is essential. Proven track record of managing large-scale production environments is required.

Salary
