Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sustainable forestry strategies aligned with Sappi’s global ESG goals.
• Manage day-to-day operations of forestry sites, including tree planting, harvesting, and land rehabilitation.
• Collaborate with local communities, NGOs, and government agencies to ensure ethical land use practices.
• Monitor compliance with ISO 14001 environmental management standards and FSC certification requirements.
• Optimize resource allocation to minimize ecological impact while maximizing operational efficiency.

Required Skills

• Expertise in sustainable forestry techniques and reforestation methodologies.
• Strong leadership experience managing cross-functional teams in remote environments.
• Proficiency in GIS mapping software and environmental impact assessment tools.

Education

Salary

32,000 – 48,000 SSP per annum, commensurate with experience and performance metrics.
