Job Overview
The Data Center Operations Manager will lead the day‑to‑day management of the Quthing data center, ensuring optimal performance, uptime, and compliance with Google’s rigorous operational standards. This role is pivotal in driving operational excellence, overseeing a multidisciplinary team, and collaborating with engineering, security, and sustainability partners. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing best‑in‑class processes, managing capacity planning, and delivering a world‑class customer experience for internal and external stakeholders. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the Quthing data center, ensuring 99.99% availability and performance targets.
- Lead a team of technicians, engineers, and support staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and safety.
- Develop and execute capacity planning, load balancing, and scaling strategies to meet growing demand.
- Implement and monitor security protocols, physical access controls, and incident response procedures.
- Coordinate with Google Cloud engineering teams to deploy hardware upgrades, firmware updates, and software patches.
- Manage vendor relationships, procurement, and contract compliance for equipment and services.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, environmental standards, and Google’s sustainability goals.
- Prepare and present operational reports, KPI dashboards, and risk assessments to senior leadership.
- Drive cost‑optimization initiatives while maintaining service quality and reliability.
- Act as the primary point of contact for emergency response, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.
Required Skills

Education

Experience
