Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and streamline end‑to‑end banking operations to improve turnaround times and reduce errors.
  • Monitor daily transaction processing, ensuring adherence to internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Risk and Compliance departments to conduct periodic audits and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain operational dashboards, providing actionable insights to senior management.
  • Support the implementation of new banking systems and digital solutions, including testing and user training.
  • Prepare detailed reports on operational performance, incident management, and service level compliance.
  • Assist in the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and ensure they are regularly updated.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging Lean and Six Sigma methodologies where applicable.

Required Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a data‑driven mindset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and familiarity with banking software platforms.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in handling financial data.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Knowledge of Lesotho’s banking regulations and international compliance standards such as AML and KYC.

Education

A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related discipline is required. Professional certifications such as Certified Banking Operations Professional (CBOP) or Lean Six Sigma Green Belt are advantageous.

Experience

Candidates should have 2‑4 years of relevant experience in banking operations, process improvement, or a similar financial services environment. Experience with regulatory reporting and familiarity with digital banking initiatives will be considered a strong asset.

Salary
