Job Overview
We are currently seeking a meticulous and highly analytical Quality Control Chemist to join our production facility in Maputsoe. This role is critical to our mission of ensuring that every bottle produced meets our rigorous global quality standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting complex chemical analyses on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products. You will play a vital role in monitoring production consistency and ensuring compliance with food safety regulations. Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine chemical and physical testing on raw materials, ingredients, and finished beverage products.
- Conduct microbiological testing to ensure product safety and compliance with health standards.
- Monitor production processes to identify deviations and implement corrective actions immediately.
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure accuracy in all testing procedures.
- Document all test results accurately in the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
- Collaborate with the production team to optimize ingredient usage and minimize waste.
- Ensure all laboratory activities comply with ISO and food safety management systems.
Required Skills
- Advanced proficiency in analytical chemistry techniques such as titration, chromatography, and spectroscopy.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to precision in data recording.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot chemical deviations.
- Strong communication skills for reporting findings to the production and management teams.

Education
A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Food Science, or a closely related scientific discipline is mandatory. Post-graduate qualifications in analytical chemistry are highly preferred.
Experience
Candidates must possess between 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in a laboratory setting, preferably within the food or beverage manufacturing industry. Proven experience with quality management systems (QMS) is essential.
Salary
The annual salary for this position ranges from 150,000 SSP to 280,000 SSP, depending on experience and technical expertise.
