Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior UX Designer to lead our user experience initiatives in the Southern African region. This role is critical in ensuring that our digital products are not only visually stunning but also highly intuitive and accessible to a diverse user base. You will be responsible for the entire user experience process, from initial research and wireframing to high-fidelity prototyping and usability testing. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct extensive user research and stakeholder interviews to identify pain points and opportunities.
- Create detailed user personas, journey maps, and flow diagrams to visualize user interactions.
- Develop low-fidelity wireframes and high-fidelity interactive prototypes for complex digital interfaces.
- Collaborate with front-end developers to ensure design fidelity during the implementation phase.
- Lead usability testing sessions and iterate designs based on quantitative and qualitative feedback.
- Establish and maintain a robust design system to ensure consistency across all digital touchpoints.
Required Skills
- Expert proficiency in industry-standard design tools such as Adobe XD, Figma, or Sketch.
- Deep understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive design principles.
- Strong ability to communicate design decisions to non-technical stakeholders.
- Advanced prototyping skills with a focus on micro-interactions and motion design.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex user data into actionable design insights.
Education
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Graphic Design, Interaction Design, or a related field is required. A Master’s degree in a specialized design field is highly preferred.
Experience
Candidates must possess at least 5 years of professional experience in UX/UI design, preferably within a software-as-a-service (SaaS) or digital agency environment. A proven portfolio demonstrating end-to-end design processes is mandatory.
Salary
The annual salary for this position ranges from 450,000 SSP to 680,000 SSP, depending on experience and technical proficiency.
