Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Senior Instructional Designer to join our growing team in Maseru. This role is pivotal in designing, developing, and implementing comprehensive digital learning programs that cater to a diverse range of learners. Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop comprehensive e-learning curricula using advanced instructional design models like ADDIE or SAM.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to identify learning objectives and translate them into actionable instructional strategies.
- Create multimedia learning assets, including interactive videos, simulations, and gamified assessments.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of learning programs through data-driven assessments and learner feedback.
- Manage the end-to-end development lifecycle of digital courseware, ensuring timely delivery and high quality.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends in educational technology and integrate innovative tools into the learning experience.
Required Skills
- Advanced proficiency in e-learning authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline or Adobe Captivate.
- Deep understanding of adult learning theories and cognitive load principles.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple complex projects simultaneously.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret learning analytics to improve course outcomes.
Education
A Master’s degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or a related field is mandatory. A Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline may be considered if accompanied by extensive professional experience in digital curriculum development.
Experience
Candidates must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in instructional design, specifically focusing on digital and online learning environments. Proven experience in managing large-scale educational projects and working within a corporate or academic setting is highly preferred. You should have a portfolio demonstrating your ability to create engaging digital content.
Salary
The annual salary for this position ranges from 150,000 SSP to 280,000 SSP, depending on experience, qualifications, and performance during the interview process.
