Job Overview
The Senior Cybersecurity Analyst will lead the design, implementation, and management of advanced security controls to protect Microsoft Lesotho’s infrastructure, data, and customer assets. This role involves proactive threat hunting, incident response coordination, and the development of security policies aligned with global standards. The analyst will work closely with cross‑functional teams, including cloud engineers, compliance officers, and product managers, to embed security best practices throughout the development lifecycle. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain comprehensive security architectures for cloud and on‑premises environments.
- Conduct continuous threat monitoring, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing.
- Lead incident response activities, including investigation, containment, eradication, and post‑mortem analysis.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate security controls into CI/CD pipelines.
- Create and enforce security policies, standards, and compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST).
- Provide mentorship and training to junior security staff and other stakeholders.
- Produce detailed security reports and dashboards for senior leadership.
Required Skills
- Deep knowledge of network security, endpoint protection, and cloud security (Azure, AWS).
- Proficiency with SIEM tools, IDS/IPS, and security automation platforms.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a forensic mindset.
- Excellent communication skills for translating technical concepts to non‑technical audiences.
- Experience with scripting languages (PowerShell, Python) for automation.
- Ability to stay current with emerging threats and industry best practices.
Education
A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline is required. Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or Azure Security Engineer Associate are highly desirable and will be considered a strong advantage.
Experience
Applicants must have a minimum of five years of hands‑on experience in cybersecurity roles, with a proven track record of managing security operations, conducting incident response, and implementing security frameworks in complex enterprise environments.
Salary
