Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cybersecurity Analyst to join our specialized security operations team in Maseru. This role is critical to our mission of protecting our infrastructure and our clients from sophisticated cyber threats. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring, detecting, and responding to security incidents, as well as conducting proactive vulnerability assessments. As a senior member of the team, you will lead complex investigations and provide strategic guidance on security architecture and policy implementation. Key Responsibilities
- Lead incident response efforts for high-priority security breaches and complex cyber attacks.
- Conduct regular vulnerability scans and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Perform deep-dive forensic analysis on compromised systems to determine root causes.
- Develop and implement advanced security protocols and automated detection rules.
- Collaborate with IT infrastructure teams to ensure security is integrated into the design phase.
- Provide technical mentorship to junior security analysts within the regional team.
- Monitor global threat intelligence feeds to proactively defend against emerging attack vectors.
Required Skills
- Advanced proficiency in SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) tools.
- Deep understanding of TCP/IP, network protocols, and advanced routing/switching.
- Expertise in malware analysis and reverse engineering techniques.
- Strong ability to interpret complex log data from firewalls, IDS, and IPS systems.
- Excellent communication skills for translating technical risks into business impact.
- Proven experience in managing large-scale security automation workflows.
Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field is mandatory. Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH are highly preferred and will be considered an advantage during the selection process.
Experience
Candidates must possess a minimum of 5 years of direct experience in cybersecurity operations, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead capacity. Proven experience in responding to large-scale enterprise security incidents is essential. We are looking for individuals who have demonstrated a track record of success in protecting critical digital infrastructure.
Salary
The annual salary for this position ranges from 450,000 SSP to 680,000 SSP, depending on the candidate’s expertise and technical certifications. This package is competitive within the local market and reflects the high level of responsibility required for this role.
