Job Overview

The Wind Farm Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day‑to‑day performance of Vestas’ wind farm assets located near Maputsoe. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the operational team to achieve turbine availability targets of 95% or higher.
• Develop and execute preventive and corrective maintenance plans in line with manufacturer recommendations.
• Monitor real‑time performance data, analyse trends, and implement corrective actions to optimise energy output.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations, conducting regular audits and risk assessments.
• Coordinate with local authorities, landowners, and community stakeholders to maintain positive relationships and address concerns.
• Prepare and present operational reports, KPI dashboards, and financial performance summaries to senior management.
• Manage spare parts inventory, procurement processes, and vendor contracts to minimise downtime.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging data analytics and industry best practices.

Required Skills

• Strong leadership and team‑building abilities with a focus on safety culture.
• Proficiency in SCADA systems, turbine control software, and performance monitoring tools.

Education
