Job Overview
The Infrastructure Development Manager will lead the planning, execution and delivery of large‑scale construction projects that enhance the nation’s transport and public service networks. Reporting to the Regional Director, you will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, manage stakeholder relationships, and ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules and cost estimates for infrastructure initiatives.
- Lead cross‑functional teams including engineers, contractors, procurement specialists and local authorities.
- Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, environmental standards and LafargeHolcim safety policies.
- Maintain transparent communication with government agencies, community leaders and corporate stakeholders.
- Oversee quality control processes and conduct regular site inspections.
- Prepare detailed progress reports and present findings to senior management.
Required Skills
- Strong leadership and team‑management abilities.
- Proficiency in project management software such as Primavera P6 or MS Project.
- Excellent negotiation and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
- In‑depth knowledge of construction codes, standards and best practices.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to solve complex technical problems.
- Effective communication in English; proficiency in Sesotho is an advantage.
Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline is required. A Master’s degree or professional certifications such as PMP or Prince2 are highly desirable and will be considered an asset during the selection process.
Experience
Minimum eight years of progressive experience in managing large‑scale construction projects, preferably within the African infrastructure sector. Demonstrated success in delivering projects valued at US$10 million or more is essential.
Salary
The compensation package ranges from 600,000 to 900,000 SSP annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Performance‑based bonuses and allowances are included.
