Job Overview

The Logistics Operations Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating and monitoring the movement of shipments, managing documentation, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely and cost‑effective delivery of goods. Key Responsibilities

  • Communicate proactively with carriers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to resolve issues and mitigate delays.
  • Monitor shipment status using DHL’s transportation management system and provide real‑time updates to customers.
  • Analyze logistics data to identify trends, cost‑saving opportunities, and process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international trade regulations, including Incoterms, hazardous material handling, and security protocols.
  • Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to address client inquiries and provide tailored logistics solutions.
  • Maintain accurate records of shipments, invoices, and performance metrics for internal reporting.
  • Support the implementation of sustainability initiatives, such as carbon‑footprint tracking and green logistics practices.

Required Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English; proficiency in Sesotho is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in logistics software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of international trade regulations, customs procedures, and Incoterms.

Education

Applicants should have 2–4 years of experience in logistics coordination, freight forwarding, or supply chain operations. Experience within an international logistics firm or exposure to African trade corridors will be highly valued.
