Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed geotechnical mapping and rock mass characterization of pit walls and underground excavations.
- Design and implement ground support systems, including rock bolting, shotcreting, and mesh installation.
- Perform stability analyses using numerical modeling software to predict potential ground movements.
- Monitor slope stability and underground convergence using advanced instrumentation such as piezometers and extensometers.
- Develop and maintain the site-wide Geotechnical Risk Management Plan.
- Collaborate with the drill and blast team to optimize fragmentation while minimizing wall damage.
- Prepare comprehensive technical reports for management and regulatory bodies.
- Supervise geotechnical technicians during field data collection and instrument installation.
Required Skills
- Advanced proficiency in geotechnical modeling software (e.g., Rocscience, RS2, or FLAC).
- Deep understanding of rock mechanics, structural geology, and slope stability principles.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex geological datasets.

Education
