Job Overview
The Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Specialist will lead the design, implementation, and analysis of monitoring frameworks for World Vision’s multi‑sectoral projects across Quthing and surrounding districts. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and refine logical frameworks, indicators, and data collection tools for all assigned projects.
- Lead baseline, mid‑term, and end‑line surveys, ensuring methodological rigor and cultural relevance.
- Analyze quantitative and qualitative data using statistical software (e.g., SPSS, Stata, R) and produce actionable insights.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual M&E reports for donors, senior management, and government partners.
- Train and mentor field staff on data collection, entry, and quality assurance procedures.
- Support program teams in integrating M&E findings into project design and implementation.
- Maintain a centralized M&E database, ensuring data security and confidentiality.
- Collaborate with the finance department to align budget tracking with performance indicators.
- Contribute to proposal development by providing evidence of past impact and methodological approaches.
Required Skills
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in statistical analysis and data visualization.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English; proficiency in Sesotho is an advantage.
- Experience with M&E software such as DevResults, DHIS2, or similar platforms.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and commitment to data integrity.
Education
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Development Studies, Economics, Statistics, Public Health, or a related discipline is required. A Master’s degree in Monitoring & Evaluation, International Development, or a comparable field is highly desirable and will be considered an asset during the selection process.
Experience
Applicants must have at least five (5) years of professional experience in monitoring and evaluation within international development, humanitarian, or NGO settings. Experience working in Lesotho or Southern Africa, particularly with community‑based programs, will be given preference.
Salary
The successful candidate will receive a competitive monthly salary ranging from SSP 150,000 to SSP 250,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Salary is paid in Lesotho’s official currency and includes statutory benefits.
