Job Overview

The Program Analyst – Climate Resilience will support the design, monitoring, and evaluation of climate‑focused programmes that enhance the adaptive capacity of vulnerable communities across Lesotho. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive climate vulnerability assessments and risk analyses for target regions.
• Develop and maintain monitoring and evaluation frameworks to track programme outcomes.
• Prepare policy briefs, technical reports, and stakeholder presentations that synthesize research findings.
• Coordinate with government agencies, NGOs, and private partners to align project activities with national climate policies.
• Support grant management, including budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance with donor requirements.
• Facilitate capacity‑building workshops for local authorities and community groups.
• Maintain a robust database of climate data, project indicators, and best‑practice case studies.

Required Skills

• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in statistical software (e.g., SPSS, R, Stata).
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, including report writing and presentation skills.
• Demonstrated experience in climate change adaptation, disaster risk reduction, or environmental planning.
• Ability to work collaboratively across multicultural teams and manage stakeholder relationships.
• Project management expertise, including budgeting, scheduling, and risk management.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of Sesotho is an advantage.

Education

A Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Climate Change, Development Studies, Public Policy, or a closely related field is required. Candidates with additional certifications in project management (e.g., PMP) or climate risk assessment are highly regarded.

Experience

Applicants must have at least five years of relevant professional experience, preferably within international development agencies, NGOs, or government ministries focused on climate resilience, sustainable development, or environmental governance.

Salary
