Job Overview

The Quality Assurance Manager will lead the QA function for Pfizer’s manufacturing operations in Maseru, overseeing all aspects of product quality, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) in alignment with GMP and ISO standards.
  • Lead internal and external audits, ensuring corrective actions are identified, tracked, and closed effectively.
  • Oversee batch release activities, reviewing manufacturing records, test results, and deviation reports.
  • Coordinate with Regulatory Affairs to ensure compliance with Lesotho’s Ministry of Health regulations and international guidelines.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and risk‑based thinking.
  • Mentor and train QA staff, fostering a high‑performance team culture.
  • Manage supplier qualification and ongoing performance monitoring for critical raw materials.
  • Prepare and present quality performance metrics to senior leadership.

Education

Minimum of five years’ experience in pharmaceutical quality assurance, with at least two years in a supervisory or managerial role. Experience in a multinational environment and familiarity with Lesotho’s regulatory framework are advantageous.

Salary
