Job Overview

GreenPower Solutions is seeking a dynamic Renewable Energy Project Manager to lead the development and implementation of solar energy projects in Lesotho. This role will oversee project timelines, budgets, and stakeholder coordination while ensuring compliance with local regulations and sustainability standards. The ideal candidate will drive innovation in renewable energy solutions and contribute to Lesotho’s transition to a low-carbon economy.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute project plans for solar energy installations in Lesotho
• Coordinate with local governments, NGOs, and community stakeholders
• Manage budgets, timelines, and resource allocation for multiple projects
• Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations
• Monitor project performance and report to senior management
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost optimization

Required Skills

• Proven experience in renewable energy project management
• Strong technical knowledge of solar energy systems
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project)
• Ability to analyze data and solve complex problems
• Fluency in English and basic understanding of Sesotho

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s Degree in Renewable Energy or Sustainable Development is an asset.

Experience

3-5 years of experience in renewable energy project management, with a focus on solar energy. Experience working in Sub-Saharan Africa is preferred.

Salary

LSL 12,000 – 15,000 per month, depending on experience and qualifications.
