Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute tourism development strategies to attract international and domestic visitors.
• Collaborate with local communities to preserve cultural heritage and promote community-based tourism.
• Identify funding opportunities for infrastructure projects, including eco-lodges and hiking trails.
• Monitor tourism trends and market demands to adjust strategies for maximum impact.
• Coordinate with government agencies to streamline tourism-related policies and regulations.

Required Skills

• Proven expertise in tourism planning, cultural resource management, or sustainable development.
• Strong project management skills with a track record of delivering large-scale initiatives.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and negotiation abilities.
• Proficiency in grant writing and securing international tourism funding.
• Fluency in English and Sesotho preferred.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Tourism Management, Cultural Studies, Environmental Science, or related field.

Experience

• Experience working in rural or mountainous tourism environments.

• 3,000 – 4,500 SSP per month, commensurate with experience.
